Found out my trucks history

when i talked to the origional owner he told me the history of m truck from what he knew

the truck was origionally bought in 1991 by a farmer two towns over.
he used it on his farm for 2 years until he decided to upgrade.he bought another ford, but now an f-150. so now he had no use for the ranger, so he left it sitting out on the side of one his fields until 2003. in 2003 the guy i bought it from picked it up for $100. since it had been left in a field for 10 years he did some minor repairs to it and got it ready for use. brake lines, oil and filters, shocks, and then it started right up. he only did oil changes 3 times when he owned it..........he put 30k on it! he used it as a dd until oct. 05 when i bought it from him for 500. this was his 3rd ranger and he sold it to me to get money for his new project ranger

yep, go figure

sorry

for a mistreated truck it works great

How many miles does your truck have? Must be pretty low for sitting for so long.

interesting dont feel bad. my first vehical was a 1986 F-150 that was a Heating and Cooling company's work truck since '86. then around 1993 it died. it got left behind there shop for years till my dad and i where working on one of there vans and i spoted it. for a brake job on there van i got the truck for free around what 2001ish? none of the workers could get it running dad and i went out there with a new battery and a new starter relay and get it started with new gas in about 10 min....lol... went on to restore almost the whole truck and made it 1000X nicer then it was...then it got t-boned at an interseciton a guy blew a red light and hit me...figures...

I know I started it, but I wanted to use that pic!

The rally Escort is a Cosworth and it was not sold in the U.S. and is highly collectible in the U.K.

I guess i've been pretty lucky. I've been driving for about 2.5 years, and have never got hit by anyone, or hit anyone. My first truck (the one I just sold), I had about $4800 in that truck (including what I paid) and only had regular insurance on it (no full coverage, even though if it did have full coverage, i doubt they would still give me that much for it) and if I had wrecked it, or someone else hit me and total it, I would have been out all $4800......most likely......

That really sucks. The only thing I don't like is that when I got my truck almost 3 years ago I became the 4th owner.

I have seen that add photo before, that is EXACTLY what mine looked like white same wheels, only mine had tinted windows. I didnt do much to it. acully suprisingly as much as people always dog'ed me about that car i LOVED it. great MPG, electric moon roof. great interor, tons of room for stuff in the hatch back. could easially seat 4 people. the back seat had tons of room acully. WONDERFUL in the snow it was sicking how great it was. been in 4x4 trucks that didnt do half as good as that car in the snow. the only problem i had with it, is it was a AUTO...couldnt stand it. the damn trans didnt ever know what it wanted to do...

I would love to have another as an econobox 2nd vehical. been acully looking for one. want white but i want it to be a manual lol...

Ya and since I moved and switched my title to a GA title from FL and I am the only one on the title now(my dad was on it before with me in FL) Carfax lists me as the 5th owner.

When I read the title I thought you meant you found out bad news and your truck is history....as in, it runs no more.

But after reading your posts, I'm actually suprised that it DOES still run heh. Good job keeping it going

I think I am the 3rd owner of my truck it said initially that my truck was bought as a fleet vehicle, sold to someone else and I bought my truck in oct 15th 02 with 69k on it. Now it has 110k on it since Ive owned it and has completely changed from what it was. Whats neat about my truck is its one of the first 100 98's made. Verified it by the vin.

I got the Roadmasters Car fax report and it was passed around more than the town bicycle! It was an amusing read.
