Washing the engine

Any tips on washing a muddy/dry dirt covered engine?

there have been many topics on this in the cleaning and detailing section or even if you do a search. I believe some guys in here use a hose and low pressure and wet the engine down. Spray on Simple Green. Let it sit for a few minutes and then hose it off.

Yep thats exactly what i do is spray lightly with water then spray on simple green and let it set then spray it off...should look brand new after that :D

Take some aluminum foil and wrap your sensitive components, like the fuse/relay box, cone filter (if), PCM, and others. This will act as temporary splash shields so you can spray away!
