Are there plastic covers on the front bumper of the Edge? I assume there is, because I am noticing that there is a seam on the drivers side, that is coming apart! I thought that the bottom was a cover of some sort and the top was painted metal. But is the entire bumper encased in two plastic covers? And there is like a chrome regular Ranger bumper under the covers? I am going to take it in for a bunch of little thing to get fixed under warranty...and wondered if this is happening on anyone elses Edge? Can I pop it back together? I haven't managed it so far. It's not falling off...but it should be covered be the waranty..right? I didn't even know the top was plastic. It is...right? Thats why I see a seam along the middle of the entire bumper? I thought it was just decorative till the seam got wider on that corner over the past few weeks.

hmm, the top part is painted metal, the bottom part is painted plastic that is clipped to the top part. whatever your problem is, it should be covered by the factory bumper to bumper warranty

if you are talking about the cornersunder the quarterpanels, where there is a bunch of little straight holes, yes it CAN be popped back on IF the clips on the platic peice are intact.

there arent any "covers", it is all what you see is what you got.

I don't know what part you are talking about. I mean the lower panel that the foglights are set in. I took a closer look and it is a plastic cover over probably a metal bumper. The top part is metal...but the bottom part is plastic..but it looks like a seam the length of the bumper.....must be just the edge that is left over from the cover being put on the bumper.

the bottom platic part, is BOLTED to the metal bumper. This can all be solved easily if you crawl under the bumper and take a look for yourself.
