i currently have the 00 front end and am wandering if an newer one would work idk what year they started just makin the lights like the old rangers again so what i'm asking is what newer model front clip would fit my truck?

 

You don't need an entire front clip to upgrade. The hood and grille from an '01-'03 will bolt right on. I did the powerdome hood on mine with no problems at all. Lots of guys have done this.

 

98-08 fenders are the same. 98-03 hoods (non-powerdome) are the same. To run the 01-03 grilles(EDGE, xlt, etc..), headlights, you'll need a new header panel. To run a 04-08 front end, you'll need hood, grill, new headerpanel, headlights corners. To run a 01-05 bumper/valence I believe you'll need new frame horns??? Not too sure on that one.

I forgot about the lights and header panel. From what I understand, the '01-'05 bumpers and valances bolt right up.

 

Oh yea....

01-05 EDGE and 4x4 XLT bumpers are the same....only difference is painted vs. chrome.

01-05 EDGE and 4x4 XLT lower valences are interchangable....differneces are painted vs. textured black or grey(depending on year), and a little different design/shape.....round fogs vs. square fogs.

01-05 2wd XL and XLT uppers and lowers are also interchangeable. Again with slight differences in the valences.

So you could run a 01 XLT 4x4 upper, and a 05 EDGE lower.

generally......years break down is this: 01-03, and 04-05.

'06 bumpers are retarded. They are covers.

Forgot to mention....04-08 grilles are interchangable. Same with 01-08 headlights and corner lamps.

 

so if i just wanted the lights and grill part it would bolt right on??

Yes it will, you need the bumper brackets for the 03 too though.
