Front Cross Member?

On a post someone said the 4x4 ranger has a front crossmember where they mount the tow hooks, Now is this a real part if so where could I get a photo of one to duplicate it?

It's bolted on actually. Bolted to the frame, bumper is bolted to the cross member. Some people call it part of the bumper.

The truck probably already has it I would think.

The only welded on cross member up front is the one that the lower control arms mount to.

[edit] Or am I thinking of something else? I don't recall seeing a welded piece there. Whatever it is, my winch mounts to it using the tow hook holes.

Yup, welded. Had to cut it offf for my bumper number 1....then weld in a tow bar to replace it a few years later for bumper number 3....it never ends...

ok so mine has one, See I thought it did not after reading a few posts stating the 04+ 4x2 did not have it edge or not. but now that i see that photo of the blue truck I have one and im good now,

I wanted to make a custom light bar and if it worked out something I could sell but I want it to be a direct bolt on with little to no modification needed. It would be made from 7/8 DOM or 1" DOM 1/8 wall tube and tig welded. I want it to be strong but not overdone.

It will also be powder coated. Maybe even color choices...

Okay, that picture makes it clear, thanks. I thought it actually bolted to the ears the bumper went on and the bumper bolted to it.
