front driver side tire squeak

so today driving home from school my front driver side tire started to squeak.. it only happens when you get going faster then 40 mph and doesnt go away if you hit the breaks it only goes away once you get to a lower speed. its a pretty loud squeak but its not to high pitch. the only thing i can think of is that it is my wheel bearings... any imput?

wheel bearings... I just did my passenger side front over the weekend. sounds like pretty much the same thing that happened to mine. Dont do any unnecessary driving until you get it fixed

Yah you have an edge so you have to replace the whole hubs assembly and its easy to replace but its expensive.

yes as the above have said you have to replace the whole assembly which is pretty pricey.. i'd take it to the shop and have them check the bearings first before you go and spend up ~200 bucks to replace the hub.. which from what i have read, if your going to replace one, you should replace them both which is upwards of ~3-400 depending on what brand..

mine was $210.00 for the assembly. Its a little odd that the driver side went 1st. Usually its the passenger side due to it being the curbside and the side that potholes are usually on. Thats just what I was told by the mechanic anyways

alright so i went to go pick up the part on the way i got a flat tire..... so i put on my spare and go pick up the new hub. driving home i noticed that it stopped making that noise.... would having the spare tire on their have any effect of the hub maybe because its a smaller tire? im gonna wait to put my tire back on to see if it squeaks or not then go from there.. any imput?
