Fuel delivery for the beast...

I need to swap over the pressure regulator from my Explorer, but it doesn't have one!!!

I thought all the 5.0's had them on the fuel rail?

Nope...no pressure regulator on the rail, unless you mean somewhere along the lines that run up the frame rails!

This is probably a returnless fuel system. There should be a fuel pump controller mounted near the rear of the exploder, should be a little black box. Trace the wires coming from the sending unit. That controller actually adjusts voltage to the fuel pump depending on fuel rail pressure and/or calculated load. I may be way off, but if it has no regulator, thats pretty much all thats left.

you know, I didn't even think it could have been a returnless system! doh! the part he's talking about is the FPDM or fuel pump driver module. good catch man!

Does anyone know if I can use a standard flare tool and make some fittings along the lines? I got a tubing bender and will start hacking on the Explorer tubes later today.
