appling a little e brake pressure makes the Torsen as reliable as a locker in most situations. The brake keeps some friction in the tire which the L/S sees as traction.

I never done it but have been told that. It makes sense to me although I don't know how good or bad the Torsen is.

I do know my locker is a heck of a lot better than my old trac lok.

I understand that, LS are torqu multipiers, so no resistance X whatever = 0 But I have had a lot of limited slips over the years, and the torsen was the worse I have owned. It didn't function 90% of the times that even a crappy auburn would. I have an Eaton in my Impy and it is impressive. I have driven one in a GMC off road and the response is awesome. Now eaton even has a Locking diff that doesn't need input from the driver.

Oh and I still contend Torsens are junk. Eaton FTW!

It says right on the website that if a wheel loses most of the traction the other wheel will recieve no power. Not exactly a recipe for good offroading. I had it in the shop three times because I thought it wasn't working and they told me it was Perfect. There were only two times it worked like it was supposed to, On Ice =Recipe for spinning out, and during burnouts = Pointless but Cool. Go over to the Impala site and see what they think of Torsen's (GM used them too) not too many glowing reviews.

I know the auburn diff. in my trans am was sweet, but it never seen snow or ice, so that I can't comment on...

well there is a couple 08's on the lot by me, one 4x4 xlt in red and a grey 4x2 xlt.

Im pissed I wanted a chrome grille on my truck but you had to get the 4x2 appearance package to get the grille, colored bumper and such. Now its standard.

I grabbed a brochure to.

late in '03 model production was when ford started bean counting and little touches of quality faded away on the ranger. IE dome light, 3rd brake light, rear jump seat belts don't retract, the '04 seats are less comfortable.

We have an '08 graber orange ranger in the show room, fullly loaded it is more expensive then the stickers on the '08 L2's and it doesn't even have BFG's or alcoas.
