Gas Guage Trouble

This is really my first post and i need help. It isn't that my gas gauge isn't working, its just it usually is inaccurate. I look at it and it will be at a quarter of a tank, then the next minute it will be on E, then it will go back to a quarter. Kind of Annoying. Can live with it, but ive decided to do something about it now. Im thinking replacing the sending unit in the tank might help but I want your ideas. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you probably need a new sending unit.

If you think about it the large hot dog tank with no baffles will slosh horribly.

Which is how the tank was designed.
