It's a CHOICE. People CHOOSE to pay for the current gas prices. People CHOOSE to go to the job they work even if they don't like it.

Believe it or not. I like 3LB. He just tells it how he feels. I don;t think hes out to make any friends, but thats his choice.. just as we all choose to buy fossil fuels at *lower* then worldly average prices.

Picture this. I somewhat believe it was a long term strategy.

Whom holds all the bonds on the U.S. Debt? The Japaneese and China. *IF* we were to try and muscle the oil market, whats to stop China from cashign in those bonds and collecting on a debt that would crash our econemy in a heartbeat?

Beats a nuke eh?

Very true. I walked a lot. Everything was close by. Pubs, Gin Mill, Food.. Wasn't a need to fire up the coach everyday. I could walk to the embassy in less then 15 minutes.

just watched a news report telling that it might jump to over 4 dollars soon because of katrina and all the other bull ****..

i really dont think that will happen, but wont be surprised at all. it's 2.88 right now down the street. they said it's getting raised tomorrow morning anywhere from 15 cents to 40 cents. can't wait!

China doesn't have to obey ANY emissions standards. They are their own nation with their own laws. Whats to make them say ' no cats AND no mufflers '? Nothing.

Supply/Demand has ALWAYS ruled markets. when theres a demand for an item it goes up. Take an iPod as an example.. it costs all of 20$ to build them by the millions.. yet they sell for.. 300$?

Put fossil fuels in the same bin. Chinas market is growing some 300% every year. If you were an invester looking to make a mad killing , China is the hot market to enter right now.

If 2 people offer you an amount for some goods, your going to take the higher offer.

Another example would be China buying up all of our concrete/building materials to build their new three rivers dam..

I think it would take more than just a day or two. Plus you know you always have those people that can't follow directions. Now imagine how many of them are around the whole nation. There's no way the whole country would be able to successfully not fill up for 3+ days.

Just thought of something else. If the country were to do that then the cost of everything else would jump because stores can't get their shipments in. Let's just face it. Either way we're screwed. Let's just get the vaseline and make the best of it.

I had to top off with 2.99 mid grade this morning. OUCH!
when I went in to pay some dude was *****ing to the lady inside about it. then stormed out.
I just shrugged and said to her "Yeah, like its ALL your fault."

She appreciated that.

Boycotting the purchase of gasoline for a week, a month whatever is not going to do jack. Actually, it will make the oil tycoons sit back and laugh at the collosel waste of effort on our part. This has been proven over and over and over a million times whenever one of those stupid "gas-out" email chain letters starts circulating.
