It's a CHOICE. People CHOOSE to pay for the current gas prices. People CHOOSE to go to the job they work even if they don't like it.
Ehh.. I tried to explain my reasoning before.. I really don't understand why I am about to bother trying again. There really must be something wrong w/ me..

Before long I think it will be far more economically viable to drive a hybrid or alternative fuel vehicle. W/ gas prices on the rise I think we are already starting to see it. Hybrids are selling like hot-cakes, dealers just can't keep them in stock. My GF was offered a nearly rediculous amount for her used Prius.. so much that trading for a brand new car actully CUT her car payments by something like 20%. There's no way I could do the same w/ my truck right now. In fact the resale value of our gas drinking pickups is probably falling by the minute.

Hybrid tech is not the answer to our dependance on foreign oil, but it is an easy stepping stone in the right direction. I think people are starting to realize that. I believe that over time you're going to see more and more people looking for hybrids and/or whatever's next (hydrogen, electric, whatever) and fewer and fewer people looking for gas powered vehicles. My (admittantly basic) understanding of economics leads me to suggest that this will induce automakers to focus on making hybrid and whatever's next vehicles.. not gasoline vehicles. Before you know it gas stations will be shutting down, either because gas is so expensive they loose the ability to make money on it, or because gasoline cars are so unpopular that people just aren't buying it anymore.

At that point, yes, I think you, I, and nearly every other American will have no other choice but to move to hybrid (or whatever's next) vehicles. That is, unless you want to start buying and refining your own dino juice..

3.49 for 93 here,

diesel is gone, 87 is pretty much gone, 89 is getting there, so all that is left is 93 for 3.49 a gallon.

they say we arent to get any fuel untill friday, and that is a big maybe.

it just went from 2.49 to 2.69 to 3.09 for 89 octane all around here yesterday in about 10 hours. And this is where gas is the cheapest in Jersey... I'd hate to see what its like in South Jersey.

My girlfriend lives 20 miles away... I'm contemplating puttin on the ol' rollerblades and skating over. Ha.

This morning....I caught the gas price $1.044/liter candian off the island of montreal for 15 minutes drive, and it was $1.15/liter canadian.. So I gas up my Focus and 2 big red fuel can of 20 liters each so it can last me awhile without paying too much fuel. Also I heard on the radio this morning it will go up to $1.35/liter canadian... OMG!! it's cost soo much, Thank goodness I sold my truck 3 weeks ago because of cost too much to drive or to have fun!!! It really suck.. But anyways I thought I share that!

Well, here is a story about yesterday. All the stations went to 2.89 except kwik trip and it stayed at 2.79. By 8 at night they sold OUT of 87 and 89 (Same price). I wish I had the camera with me because there was a line like you wouldn't believe and people yelling at everyone else. I remember watching the FX movie "Oil Storm." They hit the nail on the head on that one.

Anyways, today I heard it was up to 3.09 in the morning for regular and now at 3.23. Guess I'll be relying on leg power over engine power for a while.

I dont know how much it is a gallon here......i havent been driving anywhere. I dont plan on it either. Gas is was to expensive of an item to be wasting right now. I will only be making trips that are of absolute necessity(sp). Gas gets much over 3.25 a gallon ill be riding my bike.
