paid $2.89 here in Kutztown, PA.....down from $3.60 on the first day of school at the end of August.

Thanks, that's tempting... But my summer place is in eastern Tenn. Housing not to bad there either. Since I'm retired, not to concerned with the job market. I just checked and gas there is still $2.98. The trip from Calif to Tenn in the motorhome though is a killer. Can you say 7 MPG.

Have you guys ever stopped the pump at one gallon, just to see how much the gas really was?

I did it the other day. I stopped the pump at 1.009 gallons. Gas was priced at $2.999. Actual price was $3.07.

Yeah when gas was 4.07 I stopped at a gallon and it read 3.99

The other day I stopped it at a gallon and it read 2.21, the actual price was 2.22

But my question is if a gallon is really a gallon, I mean how often or accurately do they check the pumps?

2.31-2.39 around my area.
But dont get too used to it, it'll eventually go back up again.

It is now 2.05 here in Laredo, Texas - my wife thought she saw it at 1.85 at an HEB grocery store the other day but i didnt see it. Still 2.05 is really good.

I saw 1.99 for E-85! Even know that is just crappy stuff its still good to see something under 2 bucks!

heard on Fox news today OPEC cut oil production by 1.2 million barrels to ease the slumping oil prices. My question who is upset by slumping oil prices???

O ya those oil companies and middle east countries not making record profits

that should be enough to make it go right back up to 3$ or more im sure.
