---- GEOs, we need to do something about this shitty gov. that we have.
If this election don't turn out right, and some assclown gets in and pulls similar crap to the shitface that we currently have in office, we're ----ed. The economy will collapse if such a thing were to happen.
Oh, on inauguration day in 2008, gas was about 1.80 a gallon. Enough said.

Dont need hay, just let the horse graze along the way on the side of the road.. lol For water, eh find a garden hose along the way too.. lol I know I know, I have not put too much thought into this. Ok then, how about a mountain bike? No emissions, no medical (unless you give yourself a heart attack), and its good exercise :D

Sadly, alot of people like to compare US Prices to those in europe, as a way to point and say 'see, their paying 2x as much stop bitching!' Unfortunately, their arguments are rather null and void of any actual facts.
First of all, 95% of the US Population lives with in urban centers, which, for the most part, do not have public transit. The mass transit system of the US is actually a major drag on the economy. Both for moving people en mass, as well as creating the need for a personal car.
Now, many use the argument that we should trade our pick ups for something a bit more economical. Say a small car.
While on the surface this seem rational, once you do the math, your actually losing money. Especially if your truck is more than 5 years old with more than 60K on the ticker... Which removes about half of us.
Also, you cant fit your 12ft jon boat into the trunk of a ford fiesta... it doesnt work... No I havent tried too, but I can assure you, it wont fit LOL
Using less fuel also isnt a rational argument either. What are we as americans going to do? all become hermits and never leave the house? Ya, that will do wonders for our already weak economy.
Voting in more petroleum friendly politicians? Probably not going to happen, as well, its not gonna happen.
Some make the argument, that this is why the US needs to develope and deploy an alternative fuel source. While this is a genuine argument, again, its one with out merit... How so? Look at the following numbers... and WHO gets what...
78 cents tax, NYS
21 cents tax, Federal Govt
2 Cents profit, big oil
Now ask the next logical question regarding alternative fuel sources: WHY would the govt, even CONSIDER another fuel source, when they make so much off gasoline?
Also, consider that some municipalities (I believe my county is involved in this) gets a percentage of the cost of fuel, so the higher the cost the more they make....
My suggestion to those of you younger folks, is to invest in self defense tactics. I say this because, well lets do some math, shall we?
High gas prices + no work + summer heat + rising debt = ????? Come on, your all smart individuals...
We cant do anything but bitch about the cost of fuel. And then cringe when Congress says their gonna rake big oil over the coals... when its Congress that is actually profitting from the high cost of oil...
Something to ponder.... in 2010, Exxon Mobil made 98% of its record breaking profits, OUTSIDE the US.... Yet they're EBIL!
Huh?!
