3.60 something in South Eastern Florida (down here on Business). Good times and it's only getting worse. I'm already planning on riding a bike to work this summer and that is damn near 10 miles. Gotta be better then blowing $50 a week on gas.

yeah suppose to hit 4 bucks by summer hear in pa, its bull**** its because of all this **** in the middle east and the speculatores thinking that the price for a barell is going up even though we get barly any oil from lybia, and if we drilled in alaska it would solve the issue and problably put sadiarabia out of buisness, but heaven for bid we take up a place smaller than rhode island in a place over half the size of the lower 48 and make the carribue have to go around it, which is wierd considering the like the pipe lines since they have heat and it melts the snow around them which then lets the carribue have grass to eat in the winter as wll as let them hunker down around the pipes and stay warm, but nope, not in obama land, i also remember a certain black president saying he was going to take care of the speculateors and keep the gas prices resonable for americans while hes was campaining, now unless we had another black presidnet other than bill clinton i think that makes him a lying sack of **** just like most polititons, but considering this effects every single american the issue is somthing that should not be lied about, and just as the economy was picking up now once gas prices hit sky high the economy is going to slow back down because people are going to have to svae money for gas instead of spending i on luxery items.

and that is my rant

I think i am going to start using some E-85. It is over $0.70 cheaper per gallon here in Iowa.

And before anyone says that it isn't worth using it because you get less fuel economy using e-85... it does save a little, and every little bit helps. Plus it supports the economy here in Iowa.

100mi / 15mpg = 6.66gal * $3.50 = $23.33 per 100 miles

100mi / 12mpg = 8.33gal * $2.70 = $22.50 per 100 miles

Or from fueleconomy.gov :

2000 Ranger FFV 4x4 automatic

Gas:
14 city----------Annual fuel cost
18 hwy----------$3522
E85:
11 city
14 hwy----------$3436

Those are some good numbers.

I wouldn't mind being able to run ethanol in my Ranger.
