that's a depressing feeling, so glad to no longer have a full size truck. When i lived in Ottawa i used to own a 92 exploder and the cut off was 75 not 100. there was once where i hit that limit twice before i was full. (tank only had fumes left and the engine died as i reached the gas station)

I saw $1.398 per litre in Vancouver, so $5.54/gallon.

$1.38/L or $5.22/gal here in Ontario, Canada.

It hurts a little.

here in venezuela 1$ = 10.000 Bs (Venezuelan coin) here i pay for regular gasoline (91 octane) 70bs per litter and premiun gasoline (95octane thye one i use) 90bs per litter, so i can get like 105 liters for 1$ , i filled up my b2600 with 0.6$ per tank.

Speaking of not adding up...

$1=10bs
70bs or 90bs = 1L of fuel (reg or prem)
105L of fuel = $1?

Yes, because I converted into US dollars for comparison. Our dollar is higher than yours, so it costs more.

1.398 per litre * 3.78 litres per US gallon = $5.2844 CAD per US gallon * 1.04822 (currency conversion to USD on April 22/2011) = $5.53925 or $5.54 USD for US gallon (rounded.)

Sucks to be in Vancouver right now. Only price probably higher is Europe.

Lots of people from here are filling up in Bellingham when they can, it's $3.82 per gallon there at Costco.

So: $3.82 USD per US gallon (at Costco in Bellingham) * 0.954 (convert to CAD) = $3.64428 CAD per gallon / 3.78 litres per US gallon = $0.96409 CAD/litre. Sigh.

maybe he means 90 bolivares cents per litre... then is would mean about us$ 0.20 per litre which sounds maybe more right? i didn't do the calculation exactly but the current exchange rate is explained here

n January 2010, the government of Venezuela created a two-tiered official exchange rate system. Imports designated as "non-essential" receive a rate of 4.3 bolivares per dollar, and "essential" goods are exchanged at a rate of 2.6. There is also a third and unofficial exchange rate in the black market valued at around 6.8 bolivares per dollar (March 2010). The Venezuelan government decides what "essential" goods qualify for the 2.6 rate. They include imports for sectors related to food, health, education, equipment, and technology; remittances to relatives settled abroad; students' academic expenses abroad; expenses related to health, sport, culture, and scientific investigations; payments to retired and resident pensioners abroad; and currency conversions related to diplomatic activities. Full details (in Spanish) can be found through the Central Bank of Venezuela.
