That's weird. I wonder why it is still high/so low in some places.

ohio is always cheaper than PA. Im only 10 min from the border and it used to always be 20cents cheaper but its all about convenience. Ill have to check what the prices are there.

edit: ya so the gas prices on the ohio border are 3.49.

Just saw $3.15. Lowest so far! I'd love to see it go under $3.00, because I'm a college student and my 15mpg is KILLING me haha

Supply and Demand. Is the station by itself or like most corners of the U.S. with 2 or 3 different stations? Competition supposedly lowers the price (though I'm not too sure how). If I want to charge, $3.00, but the guy across the street has $2.98, I may compromise on $2.99. How far from the highway is the station(s)? Is the station corporate owned or a franchise? You can't tell by the brand -- BP for instance franchises stations. GetGo (Giant Eagle brand) is corporate owned, but there brand is cheaper for another reason -- rewards. How often are deliveries? A busy station can afford to sell a gallon for a little less because of the heavier traffic. Timing often plays a crucial role - morning, afternoon, night. Day of week. Prices usually rise on Weds. or Friday (or right before a holiday). Is there unrest anywhere in the world? Right now, Persia. Also, speculators who trade oil based on projections. I think something is going to happen, thus I buy at a higher price, thus the consumer pays more.

Not anymore. My aunt in Cranberry Township, PA used to say the same thing, but about 6 weeks ago, or so, we became the 5th state to have prices over $4.00/gallon -- that hadn't happened in PA yet.

I feel the same way, but I lucked out yesterday. Gas in the suburbs of Cleveland, OH at both Shell and Sunoco were $3.17, and I took advantage of it. Today, the same stations are at $3.41, but a holiday weekend is coming, and I read in yesterday's paper projected unrest in Persia.

Last time I checked it was $3.99 a gallon up here and im sure its much more even farther up north. I still dont get why we supply so much oil and gas yet we pay so much....

You have to pay 2.5 cents per mile?

I just filled up with $3.34. Guess that's pretty good compared to you guys.

down to 3.69. I only use one gas station Mobil so i base it off that gas station. Usually a little more than the others. Some places around are like 3.36 from sketchy places i don't trust.
