Icon5 gauge cluster question?

got a 95 2.3 with a crapped out plain jane cluster (267 k's) and i also have a 00+ cluster w/tach that i want to install and have but it makes the temp and tach read HOTT and off....everthing else seems to work ok.....gas,batt,etc....other than my fuel door light comes on when door is ajar...lol. I have heard there is a fix (re-pin) that i can do on the connector to fix the prob..i have looked over on TRS and other sites but i haven't found anything....does anyone know about this or have a link..i would appreciate it!!

U may have to repin the tach...I am not 100% on that....but the temp gauge will have to be swapped from the 95 cluster to the new one. The older gauge has a resistor on it.

yep. just pull them apart and swap the temp gauge over.

as for the tach, i am running an 03 ranger cluster in my 95 now, and have had other various year ranger and explorer ones in without any issues. not sure why yours is bad.

alright...i swapped out the speedo gauge and put it in the plain jane cluster and the odometer and tripmeter STILL DOESNT work but it works in the original cluster i took it out of...tells me there is a prob some where with the plain jane cluster and its not actually the gauge itself. any ideas?
