ford ranger 3.0L 2003, which is better ? buy the hitch straight from the ford place or can use the one that is cheaper? can the hitch that is already on a S 10 chevy which was totaled from fliping, will that fit on the ford ranger ??

Chris - I would seriously doubt the bolt patterns would match, so the answer is no. Another option you have is to go to a local hitch installer. I got a better hitch with a 2" receiver for my wife's Escape, than what was offered as a Ford factory installed 1.25", for a lesser cost.

I would bet you can find a nice hitch for less money at any hitch shop, than you would buying it from Ford.

there are nice Class III ones on eBay for around $120 shipped......

an S-10 hitch will not fit....different rear frames...

the s 10 one will fit . if there is a will there is a way. get a tourch, welder and alot of beer and that hitch will def fit and if not you had fun playing with the tourch will drinking with freinds
