i thought 2.3's needed SOME back pressure for torque. isnt 1 in 2 out 40 series a lil too much flow for performance?

I have a 4.0 with the cats still in it and so I thought I'd try a Glass pack and it doesn't sound bad. I don't find it to loud and when at adle it gives it a little bit of a growl so it sounds more like a v8.
