Gonna need a fan for the beast...
Unfortunately the fan was removed from my Expo when I got it. I'm thinking about doing a full radiator and electric fan set-up with Flex-A-Lite. I doubt the fan from my 2.5 is large enough for the 5.0, so I won't even bother.
Does anyone know of a good radiator company to recommend? I haven't started looking, but will need to address this issue soon. What are the advantages or disadvantages of an aftermarket radiator as opposed to one from the Junk Yard? Thanks for any help! |
Aftermarket=better cooling, lighter, look bad ass, bigger etc.
Junkyyard=cheap, does what it needs to to a certain point. |
Fluidyne... hands down. It's what will eventually make it's way into my cobra.
I had one in my old 1994 mustang gt that was vortech'd + alot of mods... it helped cool the beasite down ALOT. You won't be sorry! Also, IIRC, summit sells radiators too, in a variety of sizes... I know of a few guys that have ran them in mustangs with no problems. |
I think this Proliance radiator would work. I'd spray it with my own logo on the front since the fan will be behind it, although it won't be seen unless the hood is popped.
Still....$200 for a radiator is hard to bite! http://static.summitracing.com/globa...i-431328_w.jpg |

summit brand universal radiator (ssuming you can weld to make brakets) $220 truck not overheating PRICELESS |
hey man just a idea,i got the universal aluminum rad from jegs i think it was 140 or something and then i used 2 honda fans they are small and they blow off alot of air both ways i dont know about you but my engine bay was cramped so i put one on the inside and one on the outside. Plus they were cheap i think i got them from a junkyard for like 20 bucks

why not buy a dual efan kit for the F-150 from www.jusnesmodifed.com ........i think 1 of those fans moves like 2800 CFM of air.........
