Icon8 got hit by a deer and a pole...

well these occured on different nights, first off me and a bunch of my buddies were in the mud flatts and we come around this corner and there is this huge buck (all of them are huge in the flatts cause its a desert unit) and we all line up (about 6-7 trucks) and shine our lights on it to get a better look and it takes off runnin into the bushes and then comes back and starts runnin at us well it runs right in front of our trucks and decides to run right between mine and my buddies truck (we were about 3ft apart) and nails my driver side mirror with its antler and busts my mirror off, i coulda reached out and grabbed its antlers without my elbow bein out the window so now i need a new mirror and now the second story, i was on my way into the mud flatts tonight when my buddie texts me and tells me theres a party at his house and i was maybe 30ft past the gate into the flatts so instead of turnin around i just decide to back out well i was in the process of textin him back while i was backin out so i wasnt watchin where i was goin and i guess my truck turned a little while i was backin out and it nailed the pole that the gate locks to when they close the flatts and my driver side tail light hit the pole then the pole dragged down the side of my truck till i stopped and i got out to look and my tail light is busted and i got two nasty dents in my bed, one right above the tail light and one right under it and a bunch of bad deep scratches down the side of my bed along with some white paint. so i need a new mirror and tail light (mirrow is 175 alone) and my dad hasnt even seen my bed yet so there is an *** chewin comin for me and that side of my truck was straight but not no more, so this hasnt been a good weekend for me, i scared whats gonna happen next lol

Eh, I miss judged the distance between my truck and my wheel barrow and put a nice 5ft long scratch on my passenger side of my truck, if that makes you feel any better.

It was the Metro Boston train operator and the LA train operator. The one in DC I don't think had anything to do with texting. The track circuits were not working.

I was on my commuter train coming home one day. First the engineer stopped at the new station under contruction (wrapped in caution tape and CLOSED signs. Then he went up to the proper platform and over-shot it. So he backed up and over-shot it backing up. Then it he pulled forward and just barely got it. Upon getting off and walking down the lot, he was blabbing on his cell phone. Seriously, its a train. They weigh like 200 tons and have hundreds of people on them. You'd think the least someone could do is pay attention for a few minutes here and there.

My brother is a train operator here in Dallas TX for light rail.
Cell phone usage gets you fired.

Smart policy IMO.

if your talking about the female DC operator that slamed into the back of the other train, it was a faulty switch that caused that accident.

edit:(matt, i didn't see your post)

Yes that one. But I don't think it was a switch (like a track switch). The circuit that detects a train on the block wasn't working and therefore the system showed the block as clear and the signals were therefore green. Coming around the bend, the operator saw the other train, dumped the brakes, but it was too late at that point. Sucked.

But I haven't followed up on it in the last few weeks.

Scared the hell out of me when I saw it on the news right when it happened. My sister uses the red line every day. Thankfully not that one.

Good job, moron. Maybe next time you'll leave the phone in the center console instead of having it up in your face. Probably not.

The only thing I feel sorry for is the truck. Maybe the pole too. I hope your dad DOES chew your ***. Somehow, though, I doubt you'll learn until it is too late, and you're the one that gets to survive while the other people's families of the person(s) that you took out are grieving.

Sorry if I sound like a dick, but you're stupid.
