We've had all kinds of bodylift questions, but in order for me to please someone on the other end of this deal, i dont want to sell my kit to my truck to someone and it not work.

So what im asking is, my truck, 97 2wd manny tranny, has a bodylift. And the person interested in buying has a 01 2wd auto. He doesnt have a front bumper, so thats one obstacle down, willing to leave the rear in place and put a filler plate in the empty space.

So what im asking is, what is included in a newer lift would unable him to use the stuff? anything. i know he wont need the shifter extension, but everything esle is basic stuff right? just the lift blocks, and bolts?

Its really the exact same thing, only difference is the little hardwear I never put on any body lift I have ever done, only major things is the bumper brackets, other then that, same kit

there is a lot more then just the blocks and bolts...there are some things in the engine area that have to be altered at well as the filler neck which is all included in a newer kit.

I would just buy a newer kit if i was him. The front bumper brackets is nothing compaired to all the other things.

From what I was told when I questioned about the difference in kits when I was buying mine is the bumper brackets. I was going to buy the older model year one because of the price difference but they have different bumper brackets.

bill i think you are talking about the 98-00 kit, he is talking about the 93-97 kit i dont think they are the same, not to mention its going on a 01, which is the newest kit.

OK, in order not to start another thread, ill just post on this one.

I decide to keep the bodylift. But in order for me to take it off, i need the stock bolts, which do not have. Has anyone used the bolts from the bodylift inplace of the stock ones after removing the bodylift? Or is the extra length to much?

Im gonna take off the bodylift, but keep it incase one day i decide to lift again.
