9" has more splines (i think they are stock with 35 spline axles).......the 9" has a larger ring gear....

holy crap that thing is C L E A N ! I'd be afraid to thrash it offroad with an 'sas' and such.. but that's just me. Good luck with it and congrats!

I'm not going to trash it off road... When I do off road it, it will be very mild. If I do the SAS it will be mostly for fun, and capability, not to necassarily use it to it's fullest. I just like them better that the TTB if I have my choice in the matter.

31 spline, big bearing 9" rear. has an extra pinion bearing for greater support. only downside is how low the pinion hangs. so it is stronger but the 8.8 isnt a slouch with 35s or less.

It was on Ebay, so you probably did see it there, but it didn't reach the reserve, so I called the dealer afterwards and they sold it to me that way.
