My New Ranger!

WOOT! I finally got something that doesnt say "he's got a wife and 4 kids", I had a 2000 taurus wagon and it was a good car but I hated telling people what I drove, now I can be proud to tell everyone what I drive.

1987 Ranger(not sure on the trim model, I will check the vin later unless one of you knows by looking, cus I can't tell)

She only has 106k miles, and is pretty beat up, but I have HUGE plans for her. I wan't to turn her into a show truck, but not too over-the-top, just something simple and clean to show off.

I walked around the truck for about an hour and made a list of what I wanted to do. Some of the more major things I want to do are replace the fenders and hood and possibly the bed because there is cancer all around it, I'm gonna save up and have it bagged, not a full 4 or 6 link but just something basic that will drop the ride height to about an inch off the ground or so. and I want to get some 17" or 18" mustang rims. I'm gonna shave off the drip rails around the roof, and shave the door handles and possible make suicide doors. I'm gonna get rid of those huge heavy duty mirrors and get some of the newer smaller kind(so if u want those mirrors let me know, just pay shipping and they're yours), and I need to get new rubber around the windows cus they're all cracked and dried up, I'm also THINKING of welding up the tail gate, we'll see what happens..., As for the interior, I'm gonna hit up the junkyard and get some new seats and a dash cus they're falling apart, it's cracking and some of the foam is missing, It also needs a headliner, And I want to get a new steering wheels, like a grant GT

so what do you all think? If you have anything to say please let me know! I WANT to know all of your opinions about this

Engine bay looks awesome. I'd throw a new seat in it and call it good.

Most of the dents looks like they could be fixed without having to replace the metal. Throw some new seats int here, fix the dents, paint it, drop it, rims.

yeah I can fix the dents myself, I'm just gonna look around the junkyard for better condition parts and if they're cheap enough then get those, otherwise i'll have to cut out and patch up the big cancer spots at the bottom

if you make it a show truck, just lower it. don't go crazy with paint or "rollin on dubs" just drop it 4/5 and some 17 or 18s and call it a day. it's way to clean to hack up and molest.

morris, im not gonna go crazy, it is gonna roll on 17s or 18's, and im gonna bag it, but not a super expensive 6 link, just a basic airbag install, it's gonna be clean, I'm going to have a friend draw up a sketch of what i want it to look like
