Mines been paid off since july. Couldn't ask for a better mod. Every time I think I need a new truck I just remind myself how good it feels to not have a car payment.

I still have $6500 to go, hope to start doubling up on payments pretty soon here. I want it paid off and the ability to buy myself a diesel here in the next couple years

ya my 99 was about $12,000 when i got her and ive been paying for the last 4 years and i decided 1 day to just take the extra $4,000 out of my bank Account and paid the loan off and now i own the title. it feels so good, not having a car payment, and also allowed me the last few years to customize adding about over $5,000 on my ranger from rims tires sound to about every customized part they make except a lift because mine has the 2in factory lift and that is sufficient because i treat my truck like a show car more then an offroad car!

i think i owe 3000 on the cavy..............around there at least. i hope i'm as well off as my grandpa when im his age. when he bought his 2500 dodge ram with the cummins diesel in 95 he paid full in cash. same with his fully loaded kia amanti that he just bought recently. went in. picked what features and options he wanted. wrote a check. idk where the man gets all the money...........

That money would have served you better in a CD or savings account, while you continued to make the standard payment.
