Gunna run the 1/4 soon, have some ?s

After the exhaust is on were gunna make a few passes down the 1/4 in the ranger (and the f-bomb). so i was wondering, whats a good rpm to launch at? and would manual shifting benefiet any?

Just floor it, realease the brake on the bottom ready light (unless you're running pro tree). The track should be sticky enough that you won't spin. If you do, just use less RPM. No use in manual shifting.

yes manual shifting a auto has proven to make you slower. and punch it at the one before that last yellow light by that time you will have left the starting line

You wont launch hard enough. Just floor it.

ive heard that if you lower your tire pressure a little bit it also helps.. im not sure so dont flame me if im wrong lol...

Yeah it wouldn't hurt. Maybe 20-25 pounds or less, but I've never tried because I didn't bring an air tank with me. Just be sure you don't get on the highway with underinflated tires...

You could only spin tires if you have 4.10's, and dump a clutch. Auto much harder, it will spin only if you don't go around the water box (which you don't need to use).

But yeah, just power brake it, leave it in drive, (overdrive doesn't matter as you won't get into that gear at all), and pedal to the floor. Release brake on the final ready light(just before the green).

Have fun!
