yeah, read it in the NRA magazine as well. I love my Rem 870. Loved it so much that I bought my dad one.

i just wonder about all the plastic, but i like the idea of the low maintenance aspect. no need to worry about it if you soak it out in the woods hunting.

it looks/sounds like it's going to have the same outer coating as a glock or the springfield XD

No thanks. I like remingtons rifles but their shottys I don't. I have had to fix way to many of them plus just like the nova itll rust like hell under that polymer causing massive issues like feeding problems, extracting problem, and not to mention cracked recivers (that could cause ALOT of damage)....3 1/2" shells. Still no way to oil and clean the metal underneath just like the nova.
Its great for peopl who don't know how to care for their guns (just like the nova)....just my humble opinion

Yes its an outer coating just like the glock or XD but its just a coating...not the whole reciver...theres steel inside. Wait till the steel starts expandind from heat and cracks that polymer and then all hell will break loose. Best to get a steel reciever and learn how to maintain it. In my humble opinion

1. Shouldn't this be moved to Off Topic?

2. I read about the 887 in NRA mag. Looks amazing. So does the Benelli Vinci.

I've heard about it. If I find a great price I may pick it up, but I'm in no hurry to replace my 870.
