Got my Four Wheeler mag. the other day, Nov. issue. On page 14 states Ford isn't going to make the Explorer Sport Trac after 2010. But buyers interested in a crew cab. The newly redesigned 2012 Ford Ranger should debut in a couple of years to fill in the hole. Just passing this on whether its new or old news. Thanks, Tanker

 

I'll believe it when I see it. Ford talks quite a bit but they don't do much.

hell, even here in Minnesota where the ranger is built, everything is hush-hush, secretive. you'd think the plant was producing the next nuclear bomb.

uh, i dont think that there is anything that's actually "american built". even if it's built in america, half the parts come from mexico... is that still american?

Lol, Ford also said they are discontinuting the Crown Vic in 2011 too...You know, what most Police and cab companys use...

 

i have not seen a police force up here use a vehicle since about 2004 other than the crown vic, our national police force (rcmp) used to have impalas, but they got rid of them because the officers refused to drive them due to them being gutless... the local police here got a large handful of chargers, but they disappeared because they only bought the v6 models... now they are running new e-350's and crown vics i think the sergeants run around in ford escapes

Ford is also the ones that when the taurus got the award for best selling car in America they killed it only to replace it with the big flop called the five hundred. then changed the name on it to try to make it sell better... I hope they have a 4dr ranger coming out here. i really do

it is true there are plans on redesigning the ranger. My brother in law work in the ford clay model division here in dearborn michigan. they are currently working on it. He even said they may build a ranger along the lines of the f150 raptor. just talk though. ill see them rolling around here in the zebra paint jobs when i do ill post pics. probably not for a year though...
