Beginning of a buggman LED Overhaul (And HIDs)

As some may have seen in my project log, I recently got HIDs and Buggman Tail / reverse LEDs.

Beginning (tails and reverse)
Tail

Reverse (this picture made me invest in more LEDs because the 3rd BL looked horrible)

3000K HID fogs w/ slim ballasts

And what came in the Mail today (cluster LEDs, Mustang dome light LEDs, 3rd BL LEDs, Plate light LEDs, OHC LED panel, modded fog switch [red indicator])

Plate

3BL cargos (brake light isn't on because I can't stretch like Dhalsim from street fighter)

Mustang dome light

Ran into a problem with my OHC panel because it is a different wiring scheme than the "normal?" OHC's. Buggman had never seen one like mine but after messing with some wires, making a new route, it works great now!
OHC panel and mustang dome light lit up. SO much brighter!

Fog Light switch w/ red Indicator

Cluster lights will be installed during a mini meet with another member who also has cluster LEDs to install. Front corner and turn signal LEDs, rock light LEDs, and HID headlights (possibly projectors) will be coming soon!

Brighter lights, long lasting, and very lower power draw

So since there is less power draw does that free up horse power since the altenator doesnt work as hard? Im sure if it does its not much

It lowers the demand on the alternator, so I imagine that in some capacity you have freed up horsepower, but you won't notice

It wouldn't be anything worth measuring and I doubt alternator changes it's power production? Just produces at a steady rate? So might make no difference..

LEDs good though.

Everybody knows LED's = Horsepower

They do require less power from the battery & alternator, so in theory they could free up horses... or at least a few hamsters of power.
They definitely help from draining your battery if you have the doors open for long periods of time... I've had my truck open nearly all day with all the led's I have & it didn't affect the voltage at the end of the day by more than 0.2v In comparison, when I worked on the truck all day with regular bulbs, my battery has dropped more than 2.0v.
For lifespan, most of the led's are rated from 20,000 to 100,000 hours of continuous use.

BTW, I'm jealous!
I can't use those tag lights in my truck due to the aftermarket lights I had to use with my roll pan.

This was a cool thing i just read..

The only way to significantly reduce alternator drag is to turn the alternator off while racing, although turning lights and electrical accessories off certainly helps. Remember that when the vehicle is running the alternator tries to supply all the load energy. At reasonable to maximum engine speeds, typically from 1000 RPM to redline with heavy loads and idle to reline with light electrical accessory loads, the battery just goes along for the ride. The battery will consume engine power only when the battery is low on charge and the missing charge is being replenished.

I'm curious how much have you spent on your Buggman mod? I would love to do the same! I would also like to add some lighting under my hood and possibly under the truck below the doors. I'm also curious, did your leather seats come out of a Mustang, or what?

LEDs = Horse Power !
That’s one way to sell them.

P.C. the LEDs look good and are bright. the tail-lights look amazing.

Buggman’s stuff is nice and you know it works on a Ranger for sure...

yeah i won't be worried to have my doors opened for extended periods of time now haha. As for the roll pan, I'm sure you'll come up with something!

Not enough yet! lol I still need to buy LEDs for up front, headlight and 4x4 switches, cruise control toggles, and possibly my rock lights which i haven't installed yet. Once those are done i'll have a complete total but otherwise, drop buggman a PM for pricing

To answer your seat question, they're 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer seats. They used to be tan but I dyed them black with SEM products. Drivers seat is 8 way power adjustable with power lumbar and bolster support, passenger seat is 8 way adjustable power adjustable with only lumbar support. Both seats have extending leg supports too. Basically, awesome sofa seats haha. They will be heated really soon, I'm waiting on a friend to get me the kit.
quick pic of one how it came and one already dyed.

I have Buggmans 3rd BL and I love it. The cargo lights are very nice.
