Haulin' Trailer with Stock Ball?

Any of you guys use the stock ball on the bumper to haul stuff around? I see some have a "class III Hitch" but all rangers seem to have the ability to put a ball on the bumper. I'm looking at hauling our boat with the ranger, approx. weight 2000lbs.

Any suggestions?

dont tow anything with the bumper. its junk. get a class 3 hitch there under 150bux.

I did once or twice. I didn't like doing it. It was also to high for the trailer. I had to pick the trailer up each time I hooked it up. I bought a Class III with a 2'' drop hitch.

I wouldn't haul anything with a modern step bumper after I seen a trailer come off of one of those. The rear bumper will twist as you tow and over a period of time it will weaken and the step will literally rip off. I have never paid more than 100 bucks for a Class III hitch ever and it takes minutes to install. Do ti the right way.
