Need advice replacing TC

Mostly am an import car guy, but a friend asked if I could help change out the TC and input shaft seal on his '91 Ranger 4x4 V6 (3.0 i'm guessing). Anyways, he lives like 2hrs away from me, so I need to know what to expect along w/ what tools i need to bring w/ me. He lives way out in the boondocks and there are no tool/auto parts stores within 100 miles of his place. I absolutely do not want to get there and realize halfway through i need to drive an hour to the store to get a specialty tool!

So pulling the tranny, what do i need to bring as far as tools?

Is a regular SAE 1/2 & 3/8 set enough? (I have 24" ext and impt swivel sockets for tranny jobs).
what size are the tranny and TC bolts?
any specialty tools/sockets i may need to pickup before hand?

I plan to replace the input shaft seal as it's puking ATF at stops and idle but drives ok other than the hemorrhaging. TC is working, but he insists he wants to replace it adn be done w/ it and not worry about it. Since the trans needs to come out anyway to replace the seal, i figure whats a couple more bolts on the TC. Anyways, I appreciate the advice and info. I'm helping him for gas money, so I'd really like avoid unnecessary trips back and forth. Thank you very much.
