So, Found On Road Dead.
That's what some call Fords.
Well do an extent I can't really make a call on that because I have a Mazda.
Anyway. My voltage meter on the dash had gradually declined over a few days. Probably a total of 100 miles of driving. Turns out my alternator was going in and out. Well I drove about another 60 miles and was still able to crank and drive the Truck.
Of course, it couldn't do it with out my yellow top but the fact that it can run on 10.5v and start on 10.5v with out over heating the wire/starter and/or blowing the fuse is amazing. And Deep cycles FTW! Try that with your red top.
Anyway, $222 later I have a brand spankin' new belt and a lifetime warranty on a rebuilt alt from Advance and the company I got the alt from. When I turn my old alt back in I get a $50 core fee back. My truck was due for a new belt soon anyway. It had about 80k miles on it. I also have some high wear belt now that cost me a toe or two extra.

Once the Mod Bug bites, it gets infected and spreads quickly throughout the entire truck. It's main side effects are empty bank accounts, maxed out credit cards and court dates.
