I have an 06 and thats whats on my truck. Listed on the window sticker when I bought it new...

the real power domes are the fiber glass edge hoods, the 06+ power domes are aluminum and hardly domed at all compared to an edge, and every ranger came with one.

01-03 are the years that got the actual powerdome hoods and they were available on the 4x4's and edge models, the 04+ are styled similarly but aren't as raised in the middle as much the fiberglass ones.

01-03 u can do the heating mod interceptor "invented". All others u cant. Doesnt make a diff, they're the same **** 01+

same design as the 04+ but the 01-03's are more defined, raised more.

I have an 01-03 powerdome cut out for my 04+ front end conversion WITH Andy's heat extraction mod :)

Ok, I know, this is a zombie thread and this may be a stupid question but will the 01-03 power domes fit an '06? Are there any aftermarket equivalents or is this a salvage only find?

Your answer is right there. The grills in the 04+ are taller than the 01-03, so you have to modify the 01-03 hood to fit anything later.

Will the power dome hoods fit a 2000 Mazda b4000 by itself. Or would I have to convert the front clip to a ranger front for it to work?
