sluggish 2.5l

I have a 2008 ranger with the 2.5l engine automatic transmission. The problem I am having is when I am at a red light it skips a lot and if I accelerate normally it is very sluggish bur if I accelerate quickly it is fine.

So it sounds like it misses, depending on the rpm's? Does it throw any codes or CEL as well?

I can't remember how the ignition is set up on the Ranger Duratec's, I believe the FWD Duratec's are a coil-on-plug setup and the Lima's are coil packs, so otherwise I would've said to check one of those if they applied. Or otherwise in general, I would say check plugs/coils but I'm sure you've already got that in mind as well.

The issue was the pcv valve hose was loose.
