Icon5 Help???

I am replaceing my stock muffler for a flowmaster super 40 2.25" O/C
i noticed that on my stock muffler, there is some kind of heat shield. when i put on my new after market muffler, do i want to put the "heat shield" back on over my super 40?

someone help

if you dont put the new muffler under that heat shield, you may get some bad cab resonance(sp?), in other words youll be able to hear the muffler noise in the cab really bad
