HELP! Can I do this?

I have a 3.0L V6 in my 2005 ranger stx 5speed 2wd.

I was looking at a junk yard and found a 2005 4.0L SOHC 5speed.. can i swap these motors.!?!?!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

i do not know if the transmissions are the same but you will need the entire harness and computer from the 4.0, probably motor mounts, and several other parts. it is doable but probably not really worth all the time and money to swap in anotherv6

why would you tear into an stx? they are not that common. find a beater to swap or find a truck with a 4.0L already.
