help me decide!!

alright, so im needing new tires soon, got maybe 15% tread left at the most on 2 of my tires, and only 10% left on the other 2. so theyre getting upgraded this summer.

currently have 31's and stock suspension. either way ill be upping the size, the question is how much.

I will either do 32X11.5 and just crank my torsion bars so the truck sits level, OR, do i do a 3" Body Lift and run 33x12.50 tires?

aside from offroading, this is also my daily driver. when its not being used offroad, its being used to drive to work and back home. 90% highway miles. so im wanting to keep decent MPG, but as long as it stays above 14-15 i dont care what it is.

I WILL be getting a tuner as well, either a superchips flashpaq, or the SCT x3 so im guessing that will help with the MPG department. just wondering how much difference you think there would be between 32 no lift, and 33 body lift. if its only 1 or 2, ill just go 33's if its gonna be slightly more, then ill just stick with 32's

truck info that may be helpful.
2006 FX4 level II
4.0 SOHC, Auto trans/OD
4.10 gears

now with the 4.10 gears will my HIGHWAY mileage go up with a slightly larger tire? im guessing this, think of a bicycle, at higher speeds, using the bigger gear will use less energy to maintain speed. however low speed, as in city driving mpg would go down. thats my guess, if im wrong please correct me!

please vote in poll and leave any and all comments! also, tires run either way will be goodyear MT/R with Kevlar. thoughts on these?

You will be fine with 4.10 gears and 33's.

BL and 33's... and I agree, 4.10s will work just fine!

Bl and 33's and maybe a little cranking of the torsion to level her out.

so MPG difference wont be noticable between 32's and 33's+BL+tuner?

I have a BL, 33's, and a LaSota Performance tune, and i'm getting right around 17-19mpg

An extra inch of tire will not make a huge difference in overall MPG's.

ok thats what ill probably do then.
dont want to lose to many MPG's as i drive highways lots for work.
right now i get around 17-19 highway lol

body lift will kill your mpg faster then 33's vs 32's. id go 32's and crank, as its better for a daily driver. if your wheelin, go 33's and bodlift. just remember your turning alot with 33's and bodylift.

well i do offroad it on weekends, and i do use it in the bush when getting firewood, so offroad capability is needed. just curious if with a tuner and an economy tune, will 33's plus the lift equal to about my stock numbers sitting on 31's and no lift?

You said you're concerned with your MPG's staying above 14-15. You should be fine. Mine is pulling the same MPG with the lift/tires/tune that it was when it was stock. But I have to run 91 octane instead of 85.

Not that anyone cares, but i'll share anyway. The tune and a good exhaust setup will make a difference. I raced a 05, 4.0, 4x4, auto, today to 60 from a dead stop. Both trucks have 4.10's, and his has 31's. I took him by about half a truck length. I was surprised considering the size of my tires.
