Help me figure out this problem quick!!
 

I noticed my drivers side floor board was wet so i pulled up the carpet a little bit and i found this! Should i replace the seal on that hole? I guess should i pull up the carpet and repair and repaint the floor?? you see me pushing throw a rust hole, is that from the cowl? that might be my leak.

i need advice on how to fix it! should i weld a piece of metal onto it? Help!!

Yes, best thing to do would be to cut out as much of the rusted metal as possible so you have good solid metal to weld to, and put in a patch
Treat any parts you can't cut out with Naval Jelly, it turns the rusting "off", but be careful with it, it also takes paint off

Rust just keeps rusting, you have to cut it out

You need to find out where the water came in, 3rd brake light often leaks on Rangers and it runs from back to the front, usually drivers side because when gas tank has fuel and a Driver the truck leans that way
And most Rangers are higher in that back so water runs forward

Mr ron i appreciate it. I ended up using a wire brush and a vaccuum to clean up the areas, treated the spots with rustoleum and for the hole itself im going to use bondo to fix it. When i first bought the truck i noticed the cowl drains were clogged so i promptly cleaned them. When i first found this wonderful rust, my neighbor came by and said that that had happened to him. He said that at some point water probably got in and then sat for awhile. My assumption is that the cowl drains over flowed multiple times and the other owner of my truck mustve left it, so it sat and rotted away. I tore out the old insulation, it was still damp, cleaned up the underside, let it dry with a fan, fixed the rust, then threw some silica jell packets underneath and some extra rags just in case. Luckily i scowered the whole truck after this and pulled up the flooring and i havent seen any more rust. Have not had any problems since.
