Help me identify A/C part??

i need help identifying whatever this is. I'm pretty sure its got something to do with the A/C, I'm not too familiar with ac systems yet. But I know for sure that those wires were disconnected from the end of that part. My issue is, I don't know how to get the sucker off to be able to put in a new plug. It's like melted in there, it's possible I need to replace that part entirely. I just don't know what it is.

AC pressure switch
