there wasnt much i could do about the rust over the wheel wells and i have he patch pannels in my room and was planning on welding them in the first week college was out but my truck got hit in the parking lot and i never got a new bed and my parents just took my insurance money

I loved my Ranger and I really hope she found a good home. Don't look at it as the end, but more as a fresh start. I really didnt have much say in my truck getting traded in, my dad had the title for the Ranger, and told family members on my birthday he wanted to get me something bigger and newer. The Silverado is in his name. All you can do is go along for the ride until you have the title in your name.

Just an example of whats out there not on the rust belt. Down the road my friend, once your out of school. Take full advantage of that blessing your parents gave you in the form of that Focus.

Me personally, I'd want to start out with a '97 fully loaded w/ a 5spd and 4.0. Highest output of that gen 4.0, plus has the newer nicer dash.

dude just let the truck go. its a piece lol

save up, and buy yourself a newer one. and reap the benifits of a economy car in the meantime.

what better way to save up then that?

So cam....get that OHC out of there yet?

Get under the truck yet to remove those 4 bolts for the rear shaft and 4 bolts for the front shaft? How about the 5 or 6 to remove the Tcase?

If you don't respond, I'm happy...you're wrenching.

you really do have it made though, you got yourself a nice new focus....

let your parents do what they want with the truck

fix up and sell the probe

SAVE THE REST OF YOUR MONEY, and in the end, buy another ranger if you want....

i know i cant say too much, cuz technically my situation is the same as yours, but my dad is going to be taking my non functioning mustang that i have...which leaves me with my two trucks.

one they bought for me (like how you have your focus) and the other i just bought (which would be under my name if i was older...im not 18 yet)

take advantage of the money you could save for you and your family while the offers out, yes its sad but come on...your gunna end up spending more money you dont have fixing up the ranger sooner or later.......

A coworker got me thinking on another route.

Texas gives 3,000 to someone whos single and makes less than 30k a year
plus the 4,500 from cash for clunkers

thats 7,500.. Buy a Haundi for like 9,000 and pay it off in a year, then sell it for my diesel.. Basically getting a NEW car for $2500.. but its also gonna be the bottom of the bottom in car quality. and i really hate cheap ****. The ranger is kinda cheap but still nice... i hate plastic cars.
