(fixed--thanks!) Mudding Woes. (Formerly: Messed up the Ranger)

So, I was driving back from school today, and something went wrong! Badly!

It felt like my truck was on cruise control...the tach was stuck at like 3K. I needed to turn, but i couldnt slow down.(I was doing about 30.) I tried to put it in neutral(I've got a stick) but that just reved up the engine...I turned it off and coasted and when i need some speed to get going/get back home, i turned it back on and put it in gear.

WHAT IS WRONG?

I have a Bamatuner, but haven't had any problems with it for almost 3 years. So , I don't think it could be that.

I went mudding a bit yesterday, and gotall dirty under the hood...did I stick the throttle or anything? I drove about 10 miles yesterday from muding and some errands, and nothing was wrong...

HELP ME! I've got a final tommrow and a ****load of stuff to do today. Am I scrwed?

Yeah, the throttle had a little bit of gunk. My whole engine bay was mud. Literally. I'm going to order a whole new K&N filter and everthing. yuck.

I'll try and get some pics of the outside of the truck.
