Icon5 help withe heater and tem gauge

i ve replaced therm, temp sensor, teemp sending unit, still no movement on temp gauge i have a 00 it was working a few months ago, all parts from orileys ant top radiator hose is getting hot also replaced heater valve still no heat any suggestions

Are you getting hot air out of the heater? My first thought would be the gauge itself is broken.

no no heat checked blend door its working i know that the core is clogged but my main concern is the temp gauge after replacing sensor, sending unit and thermostat still no go

My 2.5L (which is what you have, not a 2.3, 98-01 1/2 was 2.5L) had the same issue and appeared to have a clogged heater core.

Turns out it was a bad water pump. The impellers were gone. So it doesn't have enough force to push fresh coolant past the sensor and on to the heater core but just enough power to push it through the radiator.

i found what was wrong the parts store gave me twotemp sensors instead of a sending unit and a temp sensor so i went back and schooled them in whats what they gave me the right one then i air pressure cleaned heater core and all is well thank you guys hor the input
