hey everyone

hey im new here. I registered because i have a huge desire to sell my escort and get a ranger, haha ive always wanted one. I want to know a couple things though, what are some known issues with the mid nineties rangers (if any), and the second question is for those with manuals. How is it driving a stick? i want to get a 5 speed ranger, as i love driving stick, but some of my friends who own trucks say it sucks to drive a truck with a stick.

thanks guys!

Welcome. I had a '92 XLT 4x2 with 2.3 and 5 speed manual. Great little truck. I gave it hell for 158k miles before upgrading to a 4x4. Absolutely no complaints, never let me down.

kicks *** and burns gas. and having a manual tranny is always a nice bonus. offroad, you just dump it into 4lo and let the clutch out. the trucks has so much torque, just pulls its way thru anything. just buy a 4.0, you wont regret it. proud owner of a '94 b4000 4x4

love my little 5spd 2.3l

its a good tinker toy and DD.

if you want to pass someone on the highway, just dump it into 3rd and run it out to about 85.....its thrilling

its still no muscle car but a good little cruiser

I have a 95 5 speed and can not complain. It has 208,000 miles and still runs good.
