Hi Everyone....new.

First post. Just bought a 2003 Edge with 37K miles that was very very clean, I couldn't pass it up. Paid $9K for it. This will be my second vehicle.
Live in the Charlotte NC area. Any thoughts on which Ford dealer offers great service?

Thanks all and look forward to chatting with ya in the future.
Bye

Welcome - ya need a signature.... generally speaking, Ford dealerships arnt known for 'great customer service' if wanted great customer service, u shoulda bought a kia. my aunt bought a used kia and they send her all kinds of stuff in the mail... ya know what ford sent me in the mail after i took delivery? a REJECTION notice, saying they REFUSE to sell me a vehical.

Hi

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'll get a pic for you tonight.

Not sure since it is out of warranty if i should find a private mechanic or just have the local Goodyear Tire & Service maintain it. I know Ford dealers are not known for great service....most of them.

If you love your truck take it to a respected shop. I work at Beck Service and if I had a dollar for all the screwups i find from untrained or people in a hurry i would already have my lift. Just two week ago a customer went to jiffylube for a half arsed ofl. They tightend the filter so much with filter plyers it split. The customer was so dumb they said they would drive 5 miles down the road for the to fix it.

I would find a small local shop / person to fix it. Check with friends, family, and co-workers to see where they bring their cars. I am sure you will be able to find that small guy that is trueful about it work, and really does care about his customers.

Welcome! For the best quality, learn to do it in your driveway... Other than that, find a small, non-chain local shop.
