Canadians using Rock Auto

How do you get around the horrendous shipping costs? I want to order $75 of parts, and they want $58 to ship it. It seems like a guy just can't get a break!

Not likely any way around it... what are you trying to order? It's probably cheaper to buy it locally than to pay that shipping.

A replacement steel arm rest, and a set of spark plugs.

The arm rest I do not know of a different source, and the spark plugs are still probably cheaper, or break even at this price. Still saving a few bucks is nice.

Where in alberta? If you are close to the border ship to the nearest UPS store, cross the border and go get them.

Btw, minor thread hack.... Do you have a code for Rock auto?

I've been down this road before, we (Canadians) get screwed over having stuff shipped from the US. Some places are really pretty good, Motosport.com has been good to me for ATV stuff. Firearm related stuff has been a nitemare for the past couple years!

I've thought about it, but I'm probably 6 hours from the border, it would have to be a big haul to be worthwhile.

Discount code you mean? No, I don't.

Google for the disco code for rockauto, I just order some stuff and had too.

I know UPS will hose shipments, check to see the other options in the check out. If you are going to get slammed with customs fees look elsewhere.

Maybe a member in the Midwest or PNW will let you ship there then you can ship from there. Fo the fee of 20 part from RA....

I know if you bought me something I needed or wanted I would ship it to my place, break up the order and ship the remainder. But I'm too far.
