hitch/BL question

would this hitch

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...395060820.html

work with my BL? and have almost no gap?

RazorsEDGE 03-22-2009 05:52 PM

In theory it should, but I don't believe I've ever seen anyone use it.

JoshK 03-22-2009 06:43 PM

If it fits a stock truck I see no reason it not fitting a BL truck

jamesxEDGE 03-22-2009 11:06 PM

awesome

TheBearJeweler 03-22-2009 11:22 PM

I might be getting one of these. Very clean

Tys 4x4 FTW 03-22-2009 11:41 PM

i might too. because im too lazy to pay a shop to cut and raise my stock hitch.

korey89 03-23-2009 12:04 AM

The only issue I see with that hitch is how far set back the receiver is.

fordlife 03-23-2009 12:14 AM

^^ x2

for towing that'd be an issue, but for a recovery point i see no problem.

jamesxEDGE 03-23-2009 12:13 PM

yeah i do see that being an issue as well... hmm
i wish someone already had this on their ride haha

Silver 03-23-2009 12:30 PM

if you do buy on check ebay there alot cheaper there

ScottG 03-23-2009 05:28 PM

it should be level with the frame

so it might not stick under your bumper

its made for a rollpan, and exit where the plate is

Downey 03-23-2009 05:59 PM

so it should work perfect for a body lift

mikerider 03-23-2009 08:38 PM

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stree...#ht_500wt_1041

ebay one for $88 I have been watching this for a while.

jamesxEDGE 03-24-2009 12:03 PM

not really

the rear bumper is relocated to directly INFRONT of the frame, which is were that hitch would be sticking out at

jamesxEDGE 03-24-2009 06:59 PM

so should i pass on this?

Not really. The hitch would sit below the frame. Its not intended to go between the frame rails.

mikerider 03-24-2009 10:25 PM

ya to me it looks like it bolts flush to the bottom of the frame rails, which on a non BL truck is behind the plate/rollpan but on a BL truck it should be just right.

jamesxEDGE 03-25-2009 11:22 AM

i think it's worth a shot.. if it doesn't work then i'll send it back or sell it
