Hmmmmm. This solves it.
My wife wants kids and the ranger is just TOO small to hold kiddos, I am looking at this truck to trade mine for and Put my wheels/tires and body lift on. I would owe about the same but have much more room. OHC, Sunroof, Leather heated seats, ect. plus still be in a RBV. It has 4 wheels disk brakes, 8.8 rear with LSD. hmmmm tempting.... The DC1s would look clean on this. And I will have room for Kids. What do you guys think? I personally love the color and options. Its a 2005 with 39k miles.

FWIW, having kids = sacrifice, giving up things, one way or another.
"Things" come and go; kids are/will be forever.
If you and your wife are ready for that, do whatever you have to - at least you're looking at ways to compromise/minimize that sacrifice as far as your ride, i.e., that's about as close to a Ranger with a back seat as you're going to get unless/until Ford makes available here some of the Ranger models that are found in other (European, South American, Australian) markets - which is not likely to happen anytime soon.
Anyway, good luck in whatever decision you make.
P.S. When you do have kids, changing your truck is the least of the changes you'll have to get used to.

I like it. Sweet color too. Why not? It would be more original than the ranger is. Who doesnt have a ranger with a BL and 33s?? I mean if you are going for original. No saying your ranger isnt sweet, because its pretty dang clean and i like the setup but the Sport Trac would be equally nice plus you have more room!

I agree, seems like he is trying to make an adult decision. A good one at that. you need to be able to haul kids in both safely.

I say if you going to owe the same on both get the Sport Trac. Back seat for baby. About the same MPG. Both have a bed. You can still do lil mods to the Trac when you want to. If I knew how much I would be using my "back seats" in the ranger I would have looked for a ST. And kudos to you for making logical adult decisions.

I say go for it. I think ST's look badass, if not even more than a Ranger, when B/L'd and maybe suspension lifted. But for the family thing, its a sacrifice you have to make, I say go for it, throw some 33's, etc under it IF the wife will let you.
I like the color of it! That thing looks sharp.

Exactly. The stang hails my baby cousin quite well. And gets 20 mpg. The sporttrac is 4wd. And from the looks of it #1 torson bars. It is super clean and of course has the 4.0 sohc. Mmmmmm
