OK! It's time to tell the truth!!!

Hello guys, I know I don't post much but I got alot to say and it's hard!! About 3 days ago on wedensday I sold my truck and it was hard because I really liked my truck SOO MUCH and I cried when I signed over the paper after seeing that gas price jumping up to $1.14/liter canadian!! It's time for me to take a loss and sacrafied for a brand new 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 SES. I couldn't afford the cost to run my truck anymore with really high gas price and the cost to the monthly payments!! So it took me a long time to get good deal for my truck and the difference that I owe on my truck! So finally I got a great deal with the employee discounts, rebates, 500$ cash back and with the trade in, I save ALL the taxs!! so basically with this deal I save more than 6000$can... My payment is by half, my gas at least half the cost or more, and also my insurance is cheaper(suprising)!!

It is 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 SES 4 door fully loaded with power moonroof, beige leather interior with seat heater, tundra green exterior, auto O/D with traction control, sports package (that comes with spoiler,16" wheel with pirelli tire, sway bar), keyless entree, candian winter package,
SO what do you think of all this desision that I made? I know it's not a truck but realitly I don't really need a truck because I also needed more interior room... so I'm happy with the choise with this one!!
p.s. I feel weird of not owing a ranger and still hanging aroung the site!! but it's something that I gotta get used to!!

With gas so high i dont blame anyone buying a focus or a compact fuel efficient car. It makes sense.

If i didn't need to carry my tools to jobs, I'd be switching, as it is I'm considering trading down to a reg cab 4 cyl, $1.10 a liter round here.
Glad the Iraq invasion is paying off in Spades for GW and Company

It's funny you and Brent say anti-Bush comments. I thought this was a war for oil? So on one hand, before and during the war, you blame Bush doing a war only for oil, but NOW you blame Bush for not getting you cheap oil?

choose your mind, war for oil, or war for bad reasons.

As to switching vehicles, its probably ok. I myself am almost done driving my ranger. I'm going to college w/o a car so I will buy a beater. If gas is like its going to be, $3 bucks a gallon, then I have no choice but to never drive the Ranger. My parents use it as a tool to control me anyways. I was thinking of an Eagle Talon TSI...but well..a bike seems to have its Pros too.

yea i love my ranger too, but gas is like 2.60 here and i think it's going to only get wose from here on. I just went to the gas station and it was 20.00 for like not even 9 gallons the good thing is we need a truck because we are working on our house so my mom chips in a lot. otherwise i'm done for! I feel like i need a job just to pay for gas!

I love my ranger to much to sell it even if gas prices keep going up i can live with 20 to 22 mpg its a lot better than my 03 S dime i use to have plus my truck is paid off so i dont have a payment on it to worry about that. But i can understand those who do and spending almost as much in gas as their payment is would want to get rid of theirs.

Not to take this thread off where it des not need to go, but you know not what my thoughts of GW were before or during this war.
As to the war, it was about WMD, remember that joke?
And I have my opinions, as you do, but when the policy of a foreign nation effect prices in my country I have a right to state my displeasure at GW and the rest of the oil barons making record profits and negativly affecting, not only their own citizens, but those in other countries.

Yeah well!!! you know what? I hate to pry about the future cost of the gas price, I don't think it's ever going to go down like it used to because of alot of GREEDY to the industry that raised the oil prices!! And also when the govorment sees any signs of fuel price dropping in the future or so.... The govorment will ALWAYS find ways to put NEW fuel taxes to road or pollution(emission)!! I know it's always like that!! so generally speaking... I wouldn't get my hopes up if the fuel prices drops like before!!

Can't blame you in the least. I don't drive much at all (<10-12k miles/year) and I'm already feeling the pinch of the higher prices. $40/tank is getting old. I can't imagine what I'll do this winter when I can't take the bike instead and save gas that way. Plus, I don't want to think about what my heating bills are gonna look like.

Just last week I had half a notion to go down to the local Mazda guy and trade for a Mazda 3 hatch-back. I really like GF's 3 sedan.. and a hatchback w/ a stick just has to be a pile of fun. ... I wonder what it's towing capacity is?!
