You shouldn't have to pay for work you didn't authorize them to do. They need to call ahead of time to verify that kind of stuff. Also... why on earth would you pay someone to put in a new fan?

I bet it actually went something like this....
the tech got the ticket with the fan needing to be replaced. Started the truck to pull into the bay and didnt hear anything at first, so he took it on a quick test drive to verify if the truck needed it to be done. While on the quick test drive, he noticed the roaring noise comming from a bad wheel bearing.

The tech is looking for stuff to fix, its pretty common at most places. . Hell, Id be happy if they wrote it up. If/when it fails, it could lock up that wheel and you could loose control of the truck.

now, if they went ahead and replaced the wheelbearing without you giving the ok.. well, that is wrong. When I worked at a dealer, i saw multiple people doing this and I would lol when they had to take the new part back off

i'm at the dealer now. i got the $ back for the hub. and as in not hearing the fan at idle you must be deaf to hear it. Also were it states ROARING noise i would look for a beaing noise also. So at least i got the price dropped. Its also going too look like a new truck when i leave
