I usually take it pretty easy around town, there's no real place to drive fast. But when I get out on the open highway I usually either keep pace with the faster traffic or if it's late and there's no traffic, I'll run it harder to make better time.

A lot has to do with the type of road and the pavement conditions, as well as which vehicle I'm driving. With my Ranger, I usually take it easy unless I've got enough weight on to keep the rear end from bouncing around. If I am going somewhere that includes a lot of interstate driving, I usually leave the Ranger home. The Ranger bounces all over everytime I hit a seam in the pavement, all of my Rangers have been that way. I have larger vehicles if I need to do a lot of highway driving.

i run 60-70 on most all roads out of town

in town ill be from 25-55 maybe 60 here and there.

interstate is 70-80

though none of those options represent how i drive, i dont do burn outs or heavy acceleration much.

i just hate when my pace is interrupted by some moron that cant keep a steady pace... nothing like going 50... 55... 63... 48.... oh my phone is ringing swerving all over the road...

I'm with ya about the constant speed, when I take a trip up north or I'm driving on the freeway, use the f*cking cruise or hold it steady for christ sake, otherwise get the F*ck out the way.....

In any event, I usually drive 5 over or less, unless its the free way and then I do 10 over. Sometimes I accelerate hard, but only to the speed limit......

I was a speeder(slightly) & show off but after a ticket of 116MPH showing another vehicle of the same type & year that he had no chance I'm a 5 MPH over the speed limit max & no showing off. Knowing my luck our local law inforcement would be sitting @ the next corner.
I can't lose my license or my job goes with it so no chance taking here, besides I'm way to old to be doing that crap...if there is a "too old" age.

I spent most of my time doing the speed limit, and showing off when I could...having a 4 banger did not help much. But I am not sure what is going to happen once I finish it this summer...only time will tell

Im usually right around the speed limit, give or take 5. I usually accelerate slowly, just to go easy on the gas MPG. Until yesterday I had myself convinced that my truck was slow, but yesterday I had to gun it at a light and was impressed. If the mood strikes though I can be a cocky SOB on the streets.

i always maintain 3-5 over the limit. (depending on the situation, of course) i used to be a lead foot, but, i'm older and there's no real reason for it. but, the ocassional "speed demon" will creep out once in a while.

my speedometer in my truck is off in my truck for some reason, for example if my speedo reads 65 im actually doing 60, not sure why though, b/c i dont have big tires on my truck.

but when im driving i usually go around 5-10 mph over the speed limit, depending on the street, and traffic. and sometimes depending if i have a friend with me or what not, i will burn out every once in a while, and it wont be a little churper, it wil be a throw it in drive, and power brake it and get some smoke off the tires. i also have a radar detector too, but even though it is a really good one, i try not to depend on the detector.

i just got a ticket for 210 dollars the other day for doing 55 in a 30, it kinda sucked.

by the way it really messes with my head when i use my parents cars and look at the speedometers, b/c im so used to my truck being off by 5.

I checked speed limit all the time because that's the closest to how I drive. I mean my limit is like 10 over on the highway ... like if it's 65, and everyone else is doing 75...I'm doing 75.

But around here, in a 40, I'll do 45...35 = 40, 25 = 30. I don't consider that speeding really.
